The Experienced Technical, Supervisor or Manager (TSM) CSCS Card provides a route for experienced professionals working in technical, supervisory, or management positions within the construction industry. It allows them to continue working on-site while completing their recognised qualification toward skilled or advanced CSCS status.
This card is ideal for:
Supervisors, Managers, and Technical staff with at least one year of experience in the last three years.
Candidates registered to complete an NVQ or SVQ Level 3, SCQF Level 6, or higher qualification in a construction-related discipline.
The Experienced TSM Card is valid for three years only.
It cannot be renewed, as it serves as a temporary card while the applicant completes their qualification.
Once the qualification is complete, the holder can apply for the appropriate Skilled, Advanced, or Manager-level CSCS card.
All applicants must pass the appropriate level of the CITB Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Test within the last two years.
You can check the correct test level for your occupation using the CSCS Card Finder.
Applicants must provide evidence that they are officially registered for an NVQ or SVQ qualification. Proof must include:
Full name of the applicant
Complete title of the NVQ/SVQ qualification and its level
Date of registration (must be within the last two years)
This confirmation is typically provided by your training organisation or the awarding body managing your qualification.
If your qualification was obtained outside the UK and is not currently recognised by CSCS, you’ll need to contact Ecctis to obtain an Industry Skills Statement confirming its equivalency before applying.
